Simone Windeler is an excellent clinician. She takes an academic approach to teaching concepts. I love how she connects simple bio-mechanic equine principles with riding. She has a keen ability to observe the relationship between horse and rider and make suggestions and corrections. She maintains a calm, focused, and humorous environment during her teaching and clinics. I would highly recommend Simone to anyone interested in improving their riding and their relationship with their horse.

I highly recommend Simone for a riding coach. I have been studying with her for several years and I really appreciate her teaching style. She always breaks things down into terms that are understandable for both the novice and the expert rider. She focusses on correct biomechanics for both horse and rider and teaches you how to place your body in the optimal position to assist your horse. Her clinics are fun and informative, and I always learn something new even from the ones I have done multiple times. Not only is she a great coach, but she is an active student as well. She is always studying and learning and applying the latest theory and technology when it comes to equine movement and correct riding. She is open and curious and always searching for a better way-something I think is rare in a riding instructor. She does not limit her search for knowledge to the US only, she has an extensive network of top notch international equestrian professionals that she studies with and sometimes brings to the states for clinics. I feel very fortunate to be able to study with someone who is so obviously passionate about improving the connection, happiness and well-being of both the horse and rider. If you are looking for a compassionate professional to help you really connect with your equine partner, you should give Simone a try!

My name is Lisa Cheney and I ride and compete with a Western Dressage horse. I have attended several Classical Dressage clinics taught by Simone Windeler. Simone’s clinics have been so beneficial to my riding. She possesses a strong form to function knowledge base for both the horse and rider. She has many wonderful strategies to aid her students in getting that rider to horse connection. I have noticed that in each clinic she makes sure every participant gets some special attention. She has a great “eye” for spotting little issues between a horse and rider, and then can offer very constructive suggestions to help alleviate that particular problem. A special effort is always made to meet each horse rider pair where they are in their progress, and move them forward from there. The clinic atmosphere is always very warm and welcoming, and even though I might be the only rider sitting in a western saddle, I have never felt that was an issue. In addition to the riding aspect of each clinic, Simone holds a talking seminar following the riding portion where the strategies of the clinic can be further analyzed and discussed. There is always time for questions, and in addition to all this she provides wonderful take home booklets for each rider with illustrations and explanations of the clinic content. Oh yes, and a delicious lunch for all participants!
I would highly recommend a clinic with Simone for any rider in any discipline. Lisa R. Cheney and Rainy |
I have had the opportunity to audit one and ride in three of Simone’s clinics. They are always informative and fun. Simone gives you tools to address your horses’ issues wherever you are whether it be a show or just hacking around. Riders can be at different levels during the sessions and Simone adjusts her instruction to each individual and applies the concepts to where that horse and rider are in their journey. Her clinics also include a delicious lunch, discussion with lots of laughter and comradery.
